The Orkney Islands Scotland

The Orkney Islands in the North of Scotland.

The history here dates back to 3000BC, so we are talking about 5000 years ago, hard to imagine but it is true.
The village of Skara Brae was discovered after a big storm washed away part of the land and exposed a part of the buildings in the 1800s which led to their uncovering.
The research shows that the village was from 3000BC. I cannot explain how great it was to learn the history of this area. I have loaded photos and a movie on to this blog and hope you all enjoy them.
